In June of last year we announced that the Potawatomi Zoological Society was bringing a new exhibit to Potawatomi Zoo: a North American River Otter exhibit. As Zoo supporters many of you have been to the Zoo and have had the opportunity to see our progress on the exhibit. We are excited to announce the otter exhibit is open.
We thank all of our supporters who made this exhibit possible. Your contributions helped bring one of the largest projects in Zoo history to Potawatomi Zoo. You have also given a home to four energetic, playful river otters.
This new exhibit is the first major animal experience planned in over ten years. And, it’s just the beginning of revitalizing and renewing the Zoo. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the otter’s playful world from the seclusion of a shaded pavilion with underwater viewing. Active both day and night, the otters have a curious and animated nature, entertaining with a wide variety of sliding, hunting and chasing behaviors, which is sure to make them one of the most popular attractions at the Zoo.
There is still time to make a gift and help support this brand new exhibit. Please give today and be a part of the next BIG thing!
