Adopt-an-Animal at the Potawatomi Zoo Today!

The Potawatomi Zoo is home to many animals from around the world. You can help us provide care and feeding for these animals by adopting one through our adoption program. When you make a donation to the Potawatomi Zoo Adopt-an-Animal Program, you help us care for your adopted animal and you support important education and conservation programs at the Potawatomi Zoo.

Animal Adoption Legal Information:

• Any of the animals at Potawatomi Zoo can be adopted. If an animal you want is not on the adoption list please contact the Potawatomi Zoological Society.
• Adoptions last one year and are renewable.
• Due to popularity all adoptable animals may have many adoption parents.
• No ownership rights are transferred by adopting an animal.

Animal Adoption Levels:

Friend: $25 Includes color photo and fact sheet of your animal plus a personalized adoption certificate.

Advocate: $50 Benefits of Friend level plus a stuffed plush of your animal if available*.

Keeper: $100 Benefits of Advocate level plus a Potawatomi Zoological Society tote bag that you can use for trips to the zoo, beach, park and more and recognition in UPROAR, our quarterly newsletter.

Protector: $250 Benefits of Keeper level plus your name on a “4 x 8” brick that will be placed in the path leading to and through our new butterfly immersion exhibit. ( The brick is 4” x 8” with up to 3 lines of text containing 20 characters on each line).

Preserver: $500 Benefits of Protector level plus your name will be listed on the Adopt an Animal board located in the Learning Center (names are displayed for one year from date of adoption).

Guardian: $1000 Benefits of Preserver level plus a special visit with your adopted animal including a chance to visit with the keeper who provides your animal with care (One time only and by appointment).

* An asterik next to the animal indicates a plush animal is available. A plush from our gift shop collection will be subsititued if a species plush is unavailable.
