Description: Crested geckos come in a variety of naturally-occurring colors from grey or brown to red, orange, or yellow.

Crested geckos have a semi-prehensile tail. It has tiny hairs called setae that help it climb on solid and smooth surfaces. Although crested geckos can drop their tails to distract predators, they don’t regrow.

Crested geckos are vulnerable to extinction due to threats by habitat loss and predation by invasive species.
