Pygmy goats, as one of the smallest goat breeds, are short and often stout. Their coat color can vary from differing shades of caramel, brown, gray, black, and white. Markings and patterns also vary. Pygmy goat hair is smooth and short. Both sexes have small horns although the females’ horns tend to be shorter.
