a pair of West African Crowned Cranes performing a courtship dance with their wings out. In appearance, they have stiff golden feathers sticking out of their head like a crown. Their bodies are mostly black, and their wings have a white section, a dark brown section, and black feathers at the tips. The face has a red patch on the cheeks, a white patch above the eye, and black feathers on the top. Photo Credit: Barb Freel.
