The Potawatomi Zoo is partnering with United Federal Credit Union on the first ever free-admission Children’s Day at the Zoo on June 8, 2022.

From 10 am until the Zoo’s last admission at 7:30 pm, admission to the Zoo will be free for children ages 14 and under.

“Finding ways to give even more children the opportunity to come to the Zoo is one of the most important things we do,” says Josh Sisk, executive director of the Potawatomi Zoo. “We’re so grateful for this partnership because it allows us to be accessible to a greater population of children who we hope will be just as passionate about animal conservation as we are.”

As part of Children’s Day, United Federal Credit Union will be contributing $5 of matching bonus money to every new Youth Account that is opened at one of their locations.

“United is thrilled to partner with the Potawatomi Zoo for the first ever Children’s Day,” said Carla Fazio-King, United Federal Credit Union District Manager. “We are committed to helping our communities, and having the opportunity to offer a day of fun for families in the South Bend area is a great way to accomplish that.”

The Zoo is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm (last admission at 7:30) from June 1 through August 31, and then from 10 am to 5 pm through October 31.

Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult to Children’s Day. Attractions, stroller rentals, and concessions are not part of admission. Free admission doesn’t extend to group tours or field trips. For more information, see www.potawatomizoo.org/childrensday
