Indiana Bird Walk: Zoo Edition!

While the Zoo is home to many birds from around the world, there are also several native species that call Potawatomi Zoo home!

Join Zoo education staff member and avid-birder, Melissa, for a one and a half hour guided birding trip through the Zoo. We will start with a bird walk around the Zoo, and then we will finish with a special animal encounter with one of the Zoo’s native resident birds! Bird lovers of all ages are invited to bring their binoculars, bird field guides, and cameras for this special experience during the Zoo’s closed season!

A few extra binoculars will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Since this is an outdoor event, masks are only required during special animal encounter.

When you register for this event, you will also be sent an exclusive online training video that will cover an introduction to birding. Please watch the video on your own time before the event.

This is an all-ages event, and will take place rain or shine. Spots for this event are limited so make sure you sign up today. For questions, contact the Education Department at 574-235-9801.
