Day in the Life of a Zookeeper
The fall classes will explore the day in the life of a zookeeper that takes care of primates, herps, and birds. Take a tour of the carnivore behind the scenes, barns, practice making enrichment, prepping diets, and cleaning up after some of our carnivore friends at Potawatomi Zoo!
- Primate Keeper So, You Want to be a Zookeeper? This class will explore the day in the life of a zookeeper that takes care of howler monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, white faced sakis, squirrel monkeys, tamarins, and more. Learn the difference between apes and monkeys, practice making enrichment, and perform some behavior observations on some of our primate friends at the Potawatomi Zoo!

- Herp Keeper: So, You Want to be a Zookeeper? This class will explore the day in the life of a zookeeper that takes care of snakes, tortoises, iguanas, toads, chameleons, and more. Meet some of the reptiles and amphibians housed at the zoo, practice making enrichment, and learn about prepping diets and cleaning up after some of our reptile and amphibian friends at Potawatomi Zoo!

Meet some of the birds housed at the zoo, practice making enrichment, learn about prepping diets and cleaning up after some of our bird friends at the Potawatomi Zoo!
