Discovery Zoo Camp
For kids entering grades K – 1

Dates:

  • Monday, June 6 – Friday, June 10

  • Monday, June 27 – Friday, July 1

  • Monday, July 25 – Friday, July 29

Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (before care begins at 8 am)

Cost*: $150; Members receive a 10% discount.

*Cost includes 5 days of half-day camp 9 am-12 pm, 1 camp T-shirt, and 1 camp drawstring bag.


Backyard Boogie!

You don’t always have to travel far away to explore the great outdoors. Believe it or not, your own backyard is a wild place buzzing with life! From nocturnal crawlers to tunneling diggers, from tree climbers to sky dancers, we will learn about the wild animals that call our backyard home! Through animal encounters, science experiments, games, and crafts, we will develop a greater appreciation for our backyard as we understand the importance of our very own backyard ecosystem!

Critter Classification! Registration for Zoo Members opens on 2/21. Registration for the general public opens on 3/1.

What kind of animal has scales? Which animals fly? Why do fish live in water? If your child asks these kinds of questions, this is the camp for them! This camp will go through the five different classifications of vertebrates (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish). Campers will learn what makes each of these classes unique from one another through animal encounters, games, crafts, and more!
