Endangered Species Day is a national day of celebration for people of all ages to learn about the importance of protecting endangered species and everyday actions they can take to help protect them. Join us in learning about the importance of conserving endangered species and participating in our Chalk the Plaza art competition! The Endangered Species Day: Chalk Art Competition is in partnership with the South Bend Museum of Art Each art piece must feature an endangered species. Artists of all ages are invited to compete in the chalk competition.

Participation is easy! Simply select an endangered species and create your art piece using sidewalk chalk/pastels. Art must be family-friendly and may even be posted to the Zoo’s social media!

E-mail your entry by May 16th to zooeducation@potawatomizoo.org with a picture of your chalk art, name, age, phone number, and species depicted in art. Winners will be announced on May 18.
