The Zoo is proud to present The Gift of Lights, a holiday lights experience, efficiently powered by Indiana Michigan Power. The Gift of Lights will run Friday through Sunday, November 27 to December 20, 5 to 9 pm (last ticket time is 8 pm). More than a million lights will be wrapped around trees and in free-standing displays.

Due to concerns about COVID-19 restrictions, there will be timed ticketing for this event, which means tickets are only available online right now. We’ll let you know if that changes. Click “Other Dates” or “Other Times” to pick your entry time.

The Zoo will close at 4 pm November 27-29 to prepare for the event (last admission at 3:30 pm).

Santa will be in the Red Barn every night from 6-8 pm. Elsa will be at the Zoo from 6-8 pm on Sundays.

The Congo Café will be open with hot chocolate, coffee, and a limited menu. The Otter Outpost will be open with snacks, beverages, and special seasonal adult drinks: mulled wine and spiked hot cocoa. State Fair Mini Donuts will also be available at the Otter Outpost.

The Zoo Train tickets will be $4, and include a fun Christmas present and hot chocolate sample with every ticket. The train will run as weather allows.

The carousel will not run during The Gift of Lights.

For the health and safety of our animals, some of the outside exhibits are closed after dark and in cold weather.

Tickets are available online.

Timed entry ticket pricing is as follows:
Regular adult (15+) ticket: $10
