Join us for Zoo Yoga to breathe, stretch and relax in nature. We are offering a gentle, yet energizing 60-minute Hatha-based alignment yoga practice led by EdZOOcation instructor, Melissa Gunter. Melissa is a certified Hatha-based alignment yoga instructor, and registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200. The Zoo Yoga class is appropriate for all levels. Participants must be 18 or older.
Zoo Yoga is 9 – 10:15 am on June 22, July 20, and August 17. The one-hour class is $15 for non-members and $10 for members. Each Zoo Yoga class also includes an animal encounter. If you’re not a Zoo member, you may also add admission to the Zoo for a discounted rate of $6.50 per person when you register online. All participants must pre-register.
Please bring a yoga mat as well as any other props you prefer (i.e. yoga strap, blocks, eye bag, and/or blankets). We will provide towels, water cooler, and mat sanitizing spray. Practice will take place outdoors (weather permitting) so please dress accordingly.
The minimum age for Zoo Yoga is 18. All participants must sign a waiver, which can be found here: WAIVER.
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Potawatomi Zoo EdZOOcation and conservation programs.
