Entrance News and Updates

The Zoo broke ground on the new entrance in a private event on September 12, 2018. Read the story in our Fall 2018 issue of UPROAR.

The membership booth has moved to its new home in the parking lot near the tiger habitat and will serve as the temporary entrance to the Zoo until early 2020.

Demolition of the old entrance will begin on October 29. All visitors must now enter and exit through the temporary entrance.

The Learning Center will be closed Wednesday, October 31, through Friday, November 2, to keep the construction site safe. It will re-open for the weekend.

Starting November 1, we are reducing the cost of admission and rides. Regular admission will be $5 for ages 15-61 and $4 for ages 3-15 and 62+. Carousel and train rides will be $1 (don’t forget, the carousel and train are only open on the weekends). This only applies to regular admission during the month of November, not special events.

Leaving a Legacy

An enhanced visitor experience featuring concierge-like amenities, personable guest service, and family care areas will rejuvenate and revitalize the zoo allowing you to enter at ease, access the gift shop and discover a wildlife adventure as you are warmly welcomed into the natural world of the Zoo.
