The Potawatomi Zoo is hosting a special night for adults 21 and over on September 21, 2019 from 2 to 5:30 pm, and 1 to 5:30 for VIPs. The Zoo will be closed for regular hours.

“We’re excited about having an event just for adults,” says Connie Varga, event manager at the Potawatomi Zoo. “Of course, we’ll have beer tastings around the Zoo, and we’ll also have food, non-alcoholic drinks, and fun experiences for guests.”

There are two advance ticket levels. The deadlines for buying advance tickets is September 1.

VIP tickets are $50 and can only be purchased online. VIP access starts at 1 pm. VIPs receive two special craft beer and food pairings courtesy of Round Barn Brewery, The Ragamuffin, and South Shore Ovenworks, on the Dragonfly Deck. There will also be a unique animal encounter for VIPs and a talk by Round Barn Head Brewer Malkam Wyman. VIPs also receive an 8-ounce mug for tastings. There are a limited number of VIP tickets.

General Admission tickets are $30 and can be purchased online or in person at the Potawatomi Zoo admission booth until September 1. After September 1, tickets will be $40 online or at the admission booth. General admission tickets come with a 4-ounce tasting mug.

Breweries like Round Barn, Tapistry, Metazoa, Rhinegeist, Greenbush, Heavenly Goat, Evil Czech, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Upland, South Bend Brew Werks, and more will be spread out around the Zoo. Some full-size beverages will also be available for purchase.

Food will be available for purchase at the Zoo’s Congo Café or one of the visiting food trucks like Rico Suave, Pacha Mama Street Food, Martin’s Supermarket Side Street deli truck and others. Roars & Pours shirts and pretzel necklaces will also be available to purchase online while tickets are available or at the Zoo on September 21.

Guests are welcome to tour the Zoo, play lawn games, or listen to the headlining band, Ultrafab. Regular attractions and amenities, such as the Gift Shop, Learning Center, Potawatomi Express train, and Endangered Species carousel will be open. There will also be keeper talks and animal experiences around the Zoo.

Brew Night is sponsored by Round Barn Winery, Distillery, & Brewery, U-93, Acme Water World, South Shore Ovenworks and The Ragamuffin.
