Description: Also known as the red-and-green macaw, the green-winged macaw is one of the largest species of the parrot family. Despite their names, they also have feathers in shades of blue and teal.
With their wide strong wings, macaws can reach speeds of 35 miles per hour. They often fly in pairs or small groups and often call to each other in raucous hoarse voices. They are very intelligent and often learn to mimic sounds and behaviors.
