Homeschool Classes
Make the zoo your classroom! This engaging program encourages homeschool students to learn about the importance of conservation by exploring the world of animals. Each homeschool class series is designed with an overarching student project and include animal encounters, exhibit tours, and much more! Classes are offered as a spring and fall series for students aged 6-8 and 9-12. Single class packages not available.

Each box contains 7-8 age-appropriate activities per day for a five-day camp week, including supplies for games, crafts, zoo animal videos, and more! Camp-In-A-Box is designed for kids aged 5-12, with instructions on modifying activities for each age level.

Indiana Bird Walk – SOLD OUT
Join Zoo education staff member and avid-birder, Melissa, for a one and a half hour guided birding trip through the Zoo. We will start with a bird walk around the Zoo, and then we will finish with a special animal encounter with one of the Zoo’s native resident birds! Bird lovers of all ages are invited to bring their binoculars, bird field guides, and cameras for this special experience during the Zoo’s closed season!

Take learning beyond the classroom by visiting the Potawatomi Zoo for a fun-filled field trip! Add an Educational class to your trip for up-close encounters with zoo animal ambassadors.
